The SATLE2020 project SUCCEED - Standardising the Use, Communication and Capability of studEntsurvEy.ie Data was launched on Friday, 5th November 2021, by Dr. Seán Lacey, Department of Mathematics, and Linda O’Sullivan, TLU & AnSEO – The Student Engagement Office, MTU Cork. 


The session was opened by Marese Bermingham, Head of AnSEO – The Student Engagement Office and Head of Teaching and Learning Unit, MTU Cork and Dr Stephen Cassidy, Dean of Academic Quality Enhancement and Dean of Graduate Studies, MTU Cork.


Dr Seán Lacey then proceeded to introduce the SUCCEED project itself, providing a brief overview of its phases, along with sample output from the standardised reporting structure, developed by the team, on StudentSurvey.ie data which is reproducible across all applicable academic units and programmes in MTU. Seán explained how this standardised reporting structure can be utilised across academic units and programmes for course board meetings, programmatic reviews, coaching and professional development of staff.


Linda O’Sullivan then followed on to give a brief overview of some of the various initiatives that the Teaching and Learning Unit (TLU) and AnSEO – The Student Engagement Office in MTU Cork provide to staff and students that align with StudentSurvey.ie indicators.


The session was closed by Aileen Kennedy, Assistant Registrar and Head of Student Engagement, MTU Kerry.
