The Elevate leadership development programme is provided through the TLU and funded through HEA Systems Performance Funding. Elevate is MTU’s bespoke leadership development programme – open to all colleagues working in the University. Elevate offers leadership skills training on a cohort basis – with particular emphasis on transformation, communication, planning and change. The project enables distributed leadership, emphasising collaboration, with a view to supporting the implementation of MTU Strategy and personal/team professional objectives that align with MTU Strategy.

This programme was developed by the TLU in conjunction with the HR Managers and the MTU Transformation Office and delivered by the TLU for the first time in Semester 2 of 2022-23, Elevate allowed staff to self-select one of three leadership programmes that reflects their current experience of leadership. We are currently assessing the impact of Elevate on participants, but the following provides a brief insight into the views of participants on the impact of the programmes on various aspects of their careers and approaches to work.
