The DELTA (Disciplinary Excellence in Learning, Teaching, and Assessment) Award, presented by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (NFETLHE), recognises discipline groups that excel in teaching and learning enhancement and commit to ongoing improvement.
This initiative invites applications from discipline-specific teams at MTU through a competitive process. Funding will support a 4-hour staff buyout per team for the 2025-26 academic year to facilitate their DELTA Award application, with completion required by 24th August 2026. Teams can allocate these hours in a way that best suits their needs.
To date, MTU has been awarded six DELTA Awards, leading the way in Ireland. For more details about the DELTA Award, visit the National Forum website.
