
SATLE Funding Call Now Open
Staff are invited to apply for funding to support projects and initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, assessment and student engagement across MTU.
MTU receives funding from the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education under its allocation of Strategic Alignment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement (SATLE) funding. This funding supports initiatives focused on the three key areas:
- Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
- Digital Transformation in the Tertiary Sector
- Best Practices in Academic Integrity

This funding supports a range of activities designed to enhance the teaching and learning experience for both staff and students across the University.
This is an opportunity to explore innovative approaches to your practice, contribute to institutional priorities, and engage with colleagues across MTU through funded individual and collaborative activity.
MTU’s SATLE strategy funds the following five main projects
- Disciplinary Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Assessment (DELTA)
- Reimagining Assessment and Feedback Together 5 (RAFT)
- Learning Enhancement Projects (LEPS)
- Reusable Learning resources (RLRs)
- Feedback, Assessment & Integrity for Professional Development (FAI-PD)
Applications are invited across the following funding strands:
- Learning Enhancement Projects (LEPS) supporting innovative, practice-based projects aligned with teaching and learning priorities.
- RAFT (Reimagining Assessment and Feedback Together) focusing on the enhancement of assessment and feedback practices, including academic integrity and student engagement.
- DELTA Award recognising and supporting disciplinary teams to demonstrate excellence and continued enhancement in learning, teaching and assessment.
