Purpose
A Learning Community for staff and students of CSM to coordinate professional event management.
Summary of Activities
The main direction of our original group was to examine and improve the experience of going to an event in Cork School of Music (CSM). This was somewhat hampered by Covid for the past 2 years. However, we have tried to “plug gaps” where we saw them. This year the opportunity arose to collaborate with MTU Kerry students and staff in CSM recording soundtracks for their short films. This also gave musicians from CSM programmes the opportunity to gain experience in a studio/film context. We were delighted to welcome Jim and Sarah Morey along with several students and staff from CSM, CCAD, and Kerry to a viewing / listening to the work and discussion about future directions of our collaboration.
