Purpose
The EDI Learning Community is focused on creating a space for learning and creating an inclusive MTU, regardless of the current role of individuals. It aims to bring people together to engage with EDI-related activities and raise awareness across MTU.
Summary
In the 2023/24 Academic Year, the EDI Learning Community successfully hosted the first series of EDI Roadshows across all campuses over two weeks in April, which were very well received. Not only did staff and students benefit, but volunteers also had the opportunity to connect in person, some for the first time.
Additionally, a beta version of the EDI Toolkit was published on Workvivo and shared with the LC for review. This toolkit was also shared with all staff via the EDI newsletter.
The EDI Roadshows are set to be brought earlier in the academic year next year, and the EDI Toolkit on Canvas will be developed into a more interactive tool for staff.
