MTU Cork Campus Library have recently launched an exciting new resource designed to better prepare students and staff for assignments. It consists of 8 media rich interactive modules which informs and educates users on a variety of topics including critical thinking, understanding plagiarism and referencing. More information on the resource is available on the MTU Cork Library website or you can watch a recording of the recent launch event.
This collaborative project was spearheaded by the very active and vibrant Library Learning Community and was funded through the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning Strategic Alignment Fund in 2019.
The launch, which was hosted by MTU Librarian Jean Ricken, paid tribute to the importance of teamwork and collaboration. The interface and functionality was designed and managed by the Department of Technology Enhanced Learning using content which was developed by library staff and a student partnership team.
Co-creation of academic material and resources by staff and students is an underlying principle of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning and the participation of students was managed and facilitated by the ANSEO student engagement team at MTU Cork, through their Le Chéile Programme.
MTU Cork staff and students can access the Assignment Toolkit, hosted on Canvas. For more information on how to use this toolkit please email info.librarycork@mtu.ie, or for more information on how to initiate a Learning Community contact the Teaching and Learning Unit
