Purpose
The Teamwork and Assessment Learning Community is dedicated to exploring, developing, and promoting best practices in teamwork-based learning and assessment strategies. The community serves as a platform for educators to share ideas, refine approaches to group work, and enhance assessment methods that foster collaboration, engagement, and student learning outcomes. By providing a space for professional discussions and resource development, the LC aims to improve teaching methodologies across disciplines, ensuring that teamwork remains an effective and equitable component of the student learning experience.
Summary
The Learning Community has been actively engaged in discussions and resource-sharing on best practices for teamwork and assessment.
The LC continues to focus on:
- Identifying challenges and solutions related to teamwork assessment.
- Developing strategies to enhance student collaboration in group-based assignments.
- Providing guidelines for fair and effective grading of teamwork contributions.
- Facilitating professional discussions and sharing case studies from different academic disciplines.
Moving forward, the LC will build on previous initiatives and explore new strategies to support staff in delivering high-quality teamwork and assessment practices across MTU.
