Objective
To develop a child friendly, age appropriate interactive digital resource to aid the teaching and learning of fundamental movement skills.
Key outcomes/findings
- An interactive tool was developed demonstrating 12 fundamental movement skills (6 locomotor and 6 object-control skills) proficiently performed by a primary school aged child in real-time as well as in slow motion, accompanied with appropriate pedagogical teaching cues highlighting important skill components.
- This interactive tool has been incorporated and used in a number of modules across the Recreation & Leisure Management and Early Years Education courses.
